During the viewing of Mel Gibson's "the Passion", there was a scene that spoke volumes to me . After they removed Jesus from the cross and gave him to Mary. The camera back up and showed a crown of thorns, three nails, and a hammer placed on a rock. It was a powerful vision that God spoke to me about. Taking that very scene & placing within a display to help remind people what our LORD sacrificed for us and why we worship him. I had already a display for my home church, and the response was overwelming. God told me it doesn't stop there. So I'm offering this custom made display , an awesome teaching tool for your church.
I found a real crowns of thorns, add hair and fake blood for the affect. Molded the nails out of some Walmart Sculpty oven bake clay, then primed and painted. Added a simple hammer.

VBS 2005 - WELCOME TO THE SERENGETI TREK
I wasn't able to help with the full project but last minute I got to help out in doing the sign for the church. Simple hand painted safari jungle type design, on a sheet of plywood. Sketched out my letters and paw print, add some funky colors, came out pretty good I think. Then my buddy airbrushed some shadows to the letters.
