Custom Diorama/Shelf Tutorial MOTU Style PT#1
Recently I have chatted with others on diorama building. Here is a small tutorial you can do to spice up your MOTU customs/figure displays. More Updates coming soon!

Normally you just have a boring old shelf , but by using blue foam from Lowes or Home depot, you can measure out your shelf to create the walls and floor. Then using a marker & ruler, map out your brick/stone/floor designs. Then trace out the outline of the brick design to give it a 3D look by using a foam cutter.   If you dont have a foam cutter you can use the tip of a glue gun or sodering iron.  After cutting your bricks, at the top of the walls to create a slight crumbling look,  cut the wall into a jagged shape.  After that use your fingers or pliers to break off pieces to improve the broken look.  Now your surface is still smooth, so take an actual rock, and use it to pound impressions into your foam. This helps give the bricks the texture and more real look.  On picture # 8, you can see  what a difference adding the texture really makes.  Upon completion, when you place the foam back on the shelf you can start to see your dio to come to life.

Stay tuned more is coming!!!!!!!
